Making a Stereo Image Using
Two Mirrors and One Camera          John Toeppen


Available good mirrors are a great starting point.  The setup and mirrors used in this demonstraton
are shown below.  These mirrors 
of the front surface type.

The precision calibrated finger is used for a first guess of alignment.




The view is adjusted to create the stereo image.

The distance from the mirrors determines the effective baseline.  The baseline and camera direction should be horizontal - do not look down or up at the mirrors.   Mirrors should not be tilted upwards or downwards or the images will rotate in opposite directions.
